Industry veteran to help refine product development strategy for business entity management software firm
Jersey City, NJ — November 3, 2016 —CorpData LLC, provider of enterprise entity management and workflow software solutions to the corporate services industry, announced today that industry veteran Stephen W. Craig has joined their advisory board.
As an attorney and as a forty-year veteran of the legal information services industry, Mr. Craig has managed and founded many legal services companies and has held numerous positions in management and law.
From 1985 to 1995, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Prentice Hall Legal and Financial Services (PHCS), the country’s premier supplier of corporate formation and registered agent services. During his tenure, PHCS grew tenfold, serving the nations’ top 1000 law firms and corporate customers; acting as registered agent for the most prestigious names in corporate America and setting the industry standard for technological and service innovation.
In 1995, together with three partners, Mr. Craig co-founded National Registered Agents, Inc. (NRAI), a legal services company that re-shaped its industry, also serving as a Principal and as a Member of its Board of Directors. NRAI grew into the premier company in its industry, before being sold to Wolters Kluwer in 2011.
From 1995 to 2004 Mr. Craig also served as President and Managing Member of Superior Information Services, LLC, a fast growing database information company that served the legal, real estate, and insurance markets. He also served on the Board of Directors of Charles Jones, Inc. a sister company of Superior. In 2004 he orchestrated the merger of Superior and Charles Jones with ChoicePoint, Inc., a publicly traded information company which ultimately was merged with Lexis Nexis.
In addition Mr. Craig has served as Chief Executive Officer for several small businesses including Surety Technologies, Inc., an internet security company. He founded Lenders Capital Recovery Services, LLC, a consulting business for financial institutions.
Currently Mr. Craig is a principal in several real estate companies in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York as both an investor and manager. In addition he is a principal and founding member of Agile Legal Services, LLC a venture that owns several legal services companies serving law firms, law practitioners, corporations and private investment funds. He serves as Executive Director of the Stephen W. Craig Family Foundation and serves on the Board of several small companies.
Mr. Craig received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rutgers University, a Masters in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law before the state and federal courts in both New Jersey and New York.
